about us

Pressi Juices started at home.

Proudly Australian owned, made and founded by female founder Tessa Boehm, Pressi Juices began with juice being made for the household, experimenting with recipes and becoming a little obsessed with getting them just right.

Then friends started asking for bottles.

Then their friends.

And before long, what started in the kitchen had become something much bigger.

Before there was a juice bar, there were home deliveries. The kind that involved packing the car with bottles of fresh juice and meeting customers in random car parks around Brisbane/Gold Coast. Sometimes after a full day of juicing, so after dark. One particularly memorable drop off spot was a Dan Murphy’s car park half way from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, handing over bottles of green juice under the streetlights and feeling like a shady dealer.

People needed their fix.

And that’s where “your local juice dealer” was born.

What started as a cheeky little name for those early home deliveries eventually became the Instagram handle, the personality of the brand and, later, a huge neon sign proudly hanging in the juice bar, which is the only remnants we have kept of the juice bar.

We’ve come a long way from those late night car park drop offs.

But the idea has always stayed the same. Make really good juice, make it with purpose and make something people genuinely want to come back for or meet late at night in car parks for.

Eventually, those home deliveries grew into a Brisbane juice bar and a much bigger community.

From the very beginning, the exact same signature blends have been made and sold every single day. No constantly changing menu. No chasing trends. No adding cheap fillers or sweet ingredients just to make the numbers work. Just carefully considered recipes, packed with the good stuff and made to taste genuinely delicious.

The veggie blends became what Pressi Juices was known for.

Fresh, savoury, full of vegetables and definitely not shy on the ginger. Strong ginger became a little Pressi Juices signature. The kind of juice that wakes you up with the first sip and reminds you that you are, in fact, drinking vegetables.

Pressi Juices was never interested in making veggie juice feel like something you had to suffer through because it was good for you. Well this depends on who you ask, however we have to say we have the best veggie juices. The mission was to make it cool. Make it chic. Make it something you actually want sitting in your fridge.

Something that looks good, tastes good and makes you feel good.

The juice bar years brought some pretty incredible opportunities.

Pressi Juices became part of major events, served for Brisbane Airport at a Tourism Australia event, supplied Christian Dior and major corporate companies, and made juice for international musicians and artists visiting Brisbane. The juice bar also welcomed a number of high profile celebrities, VIP clients and travellers passing through Brisbane.

And then there were the everyday customers.

The ones who came in every morning for the same green juice. The ones who knew their order before reaching the counter. The ones who would bring friends in and tell them exactly which juice to try.

That community became just as important as the juice itself.

One of the most unexpected moments along the way was having the head chef for Metallica stop by the Fortitude Valley juice bar while the band was touring Brisbane, looking for genuinely healthy options to keep the crew fuelled while on the road.

The green juice made the cut.

It’s not your typical sweet green juice. No apple juice or pineapple juice to disguise the vegetables. It’s savoury, naturally low in sugar, packed with vegetables and finished with a serious hit of ginger.

It’s probably a love or hate kind of juice.

But if you’re a true veggie juice lover, you’ll understand.

Eventually, the decision was made to close the juice bar.

It was the end of an era, but not the end of Pressi Juices.

If anything, it created the space to step back, take everything learnt from those years and build the brand that had always been sitting underneath it all.

Today, Pressi Juices is moving into its next chapter with a clear ambition: to become Australia’s go to juice brand for people who care about what they put into their bodies, but don’t want wellness to feel boring.

The focus is on the premium wholesale market, bringing the original Pressi Juices blends into the fridges of the best cafes, boutique supermarkets, bath houses, wellness centres and fitness studios.

Starting in Brisbane. Growing Australia wide.

And this time, the scale is different.

So is the way the juice is made.

Coming from a juice bar where bottles had a three day shelf life, moving to a 90 day shelf life feels pretty significant. But longer isn’t automatically better.

There are manufacturing processes that can push juice into much longer shelf lives, but they weren’t the right fit for Pressi Juices. HPP became the chosen method because it provides the balance needed to grow while protecting the freshness, flavour, nutrients and quality that made the original juice special.

No preservatives. No added sugar. No fillers.

Just better ingredients, higher percentages of the good stuff and recipes that have been carefully considered from the very beginning.

And the Australian story runs through the entire brand.

From buying produce at local farmers markets for the household, to now working with Australian farmers and produce suppliers. From an Australian manufacturer to Australian graphic designers, label printers, distributors and other small businesses behind the scenes.

The decision was made early that if Pressi Juices was going to grow, it would grow by supporting Australian businesses wherever possible.

Even the leftover juice pulp has a purpose. It is returned to local farmers to go back into the land, helping complete the journey from farm, to bottle, and back to the soil.

This is Pressi Juices now.

Still the same original recipes.

Still the strong ginger.

Still the ridiculously green green juice.

But bigger. Sharper. More considered.

A little more grown up, without taking itself too seriously.

Because wellness doesn’t have to look clinical. Vegetable juice doesn’t have to be boring. And something that’s genuinely good for you can still feel cool enough to want sitting on your kitchen bench.

From a kitchen in Brisbane, to late night car park juice drops, to a juice bar, to major events, musicians, celebrities, corporate clients, travellers and a community of loyal daily customers.

From three day shelf life to HPP.

From a cheeky neon sign to a wholesale brand with its sights firmly set on Australia.

Pressi Juices has come a long way.

And the funny thing is, it all started with making a few bottles of juice at home.

The hobby went too far.

Thank goodness it did.
